So I am going to get to play with some Ornate Ghost Frames from Heidi Swapp’s new collection BEFORE they hit the stores!! That is IF Janet can part with them!! If she saw how crazy I was acting around here she would definitely send them just to bring normalcy back into view!! Thanks so much Janet for the fun giveaway!!

One day last week we went down to PC to go to the $3 kid movie and then head over for an afternoon at Frank Brown Park. We took some friends from church with us, and then when we got there we ran into some more friends from church. So everyone was extremely entertained and enjoying the refreshing water! We (the mamas) even got to sit and chat for a time while some of the older kids watched over the younger ones. We had tons of fun!! Here are just a couple of pics.

So after not participating in awhile I decided to make this card for the Color Challenge this week at kwernerdesign.com blog. I loved the dress and the sweet colors. Here is what I came up with.

I used: Sage Shadow and Whisper White Cardstock, felt flower, Polka Dot Background, ‘Dots’ brass embossing plate, piercer and mat, Friendship Blooms stamp, Versamark, Rose Red, & Regal Rose ink all from SU, patterened paper (behind the button) from Basic Grey Dasher collection, button from the Paper Studio, twine and staples from Wal-Mart.

Thanks for looking!

Trained!

Wow — we have made it through to the other side of potty training! My Cray-man is wearing big boy undies and we are so proud. We had to get him trained before the formula became a constant in our grocery cart for Hill! I was holding my breath and thinking it would never happen, but Cray exceeded my expectations and stayed dry throughout the entire mountain trip! (A twelve hour car ride — and not much stopping!) Do I sound excited? I am shouting from the rooftops! Only one more to potty train!! and I am counting down!!

A Good Find!

Last week we went on vacation to the mountains (more on that later), and so before we went I downloaded everything off of my camera without really looking at the pictures. So when I got into iPhoto to do some work on the vacation pictures these new favorites of mine were smiling back at me! So I ditched the work on the vacation shots and decided to play with these instead — I love them!! Finally I feel like I’ve got that sweet little smiley personality captured! You can click on each picture to enlarge it. I think the last one is my favorite!

Sunday was a great day! We went to church and then got a call that some friends of ours (who were in our wedding) came through town and wanted to eat together and let the kids play! How exciting!! We loved seeing their three girls, who we had only seen in the hospital prior to this, and sharing our three with them! The kids had a great time keeping each other occupied at dinner and we actually got to sit and chat for a little while before they threw the crew back in the van to head home! So just a quick visit, but man, so refreshing and fun!! We already can’t wait to see them again! We grabbed this quick shot before they headed out! Thanks again for stopping in for lunch!! You guys rock!!

Be ready because we are coming during football season! Smiles!!

Independence Day!

For the first time in a LONG time we did NOT go to the beach for the 4th of July! I was glad not to be in the car for the million hours it takes to get there, but the smell of the salt and sea are kind of synonymous with fireworks for me so it was kind of sad not to be in our usual spot! However, we made up for that with a great fish fry, watermelon, and a new diving board at Grandma’s pool! Aunt Melissa and Uncle Tom came home and brought their new kitten, so that kept Audrey Lou entertained for hours! The rest of us just ate way too much. After dark we finally pulled out a small box of sparklers and then jumped on the buggy to try to find some fireworks!
