Some of you local girls have been after me and after me to start teaching a class here in our quaint little town — so I have decided to give it a go. The plan is for Tuesday nights in July. So for four nights we’ll meet for three hours and I’ll teach a layout and a card. We’ll do a different design element each night that you’ll hopefully be able to go back and use on your own layouts. The cost will be $35 for the month or $10 a night!  So if you can’t make them all you can just sign up for one night at a time! Send me an email if you are interested at holley(dot)nancy(at)yahoo(dot)com.

Here are just a couple of layouts I have done recently and I thought I’d share!! We are about to hit the road for a week or so (to a secluded island without roads or the internet!) so just know that I will be getting pictures for you to enjoy in upcoming layouts!!

shelovestopaintAudrey painted the rainbow and the flower pictures for me to add to the layout! The rainbow paper is from Sassafras, the letters are thickers from American Crafts, the little orange letter stickers are My Little Shoebox, and the craft and white cardstock is Bazzill. The watercolors are Crayola (of course). The flowers are Stampin’ Up (I think). Anyway — I made this for the challenge over at the Vintage Plum.

partygirl1 I saw something like this over in the 2Peas gallery — but I can’t tell you whose it was or anything — this is just my take on it! It is all made with the Girl Friday line by Cosmo Cricket, a few buttons from my stash and a chipboard butterfly by American Crafts.

I finally got my little corner of Etsy figured out! Etsy is a community for handmade items that I have been stalking for a while! I’ve posted about it here before — I am telling you the amount of talent that God has gifted this world with is truly A.MAZ.ING!! There really is no other way to describe it! So I decided to throw a couple of things out there and see if anyone would be interested! I named the shop “Straight From the Project Room” because Audrey named our scrapping, sewing, making things space at our house in Graceville (when she was about 24 months) “the Project Room” and it has been that ever since!! So we do EVERYTHING in The Project Room and these creations are no exception!! I have been the most successful with the camera straps after donating a couple at the Scrap Etc. Event I went to at the beginning of May. I have enjoyed getting to know folks around the country and hearing their story! So even if you don’t buy from me (you really won’t hurt my feelings!) buy handmade and use Etsy! You’ll come into contact with some amazing folks who can do AMAZING things!!

Go to Straight From the Project Room!

Now for the contest!! My friend Kim is giving away a camera strap over on her blog and I am giving one away here (so that is the chance at two different straps) all you have to do is comment on her blog and mine about how you load you toilet paper roll (over the top, or under the bottom)! Also give me an idea of what you like in the shop (like your favorite item) or what you’d like to see in the future! If you are the winner and you want to specify a specific color we’ll try to work that out too! 🙂 The contest will end on Friday night at midnight and we’ll announce the winners next Monday morning!! Have fun searching!
